Z-Axis does not "zero" out

Hi,

I am using Chilipeppr, an Xcarve and mm settings.

When I “zero out”, the Z-Axis never shows as 0.000, sometimes 0.002 sometimes as 0.001 - the X and Y are ok.

Also, I have found that after a job, when the spindle moves back to home, the X-axis is off, again sometimes by 0.001, sometimes by 0.002.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Steve

Mine does the same thing…I am cutting in wood…those tolerances are well within acceptable ranges.

When you do Z zero, you can Notice your Z moves a little as well as X and Y. It is part of homing prosedure. It’s normal. As long as machine memorizing those numbers, you’re good to go.
