About to run a batch of star knobs for use on hold downs for my cnc, was planning on putting a t nut on each knob, but a light went on over my head, what about just threading the knob itself. would use 3/4" oak probably and wonder what the forum thinks. Much more elegant than bolt heads or hex nuts or t nuts and easier and cheaper also. would not get quite the wear of using metal nuts, but since I would likely run into them within months, which is of course the reason I need some new ones.
