The max size of the x-carve pro collet is 3/8". Does anyone know if you can add a new collet nut or collet that can act as an adapter to put in bits with 1/2" shank. I need longer bits that can do 3d carves and they only come in 1/2" shanks. Anyone have any experience or thoughts with this?

look on aliexpress there you can find them with a diameter of 6mm and a length of up to 100mm and much cheaper than the milling cutters in your own country.

do NOT do this. If you need 1/2" bits, then you need a different spindle that accepts that size bit. Do not use some adapter to be able to attach larger bits. Bad things WILL happen if you do this.
What bits are you unable to source in a size that fits the existing collet options? Possibly others could help source bits that can fit.
