It is great that there is 2 stage carving but for larger projects 3 or 4 stage carving would really cut down on time. SO I could use a 1/4, 1/8 and a 1/16 bit and maybe even a 1/32… basically have 2 rough passes… the only way I can do this right now is using vcarve and I really like easel…
You could ‘duplicate’ your workspace in Easel. Then select each workspace you’d like to carve individually with each bit. Just create a workspace with only the pieces to be carved with each bit remaining in each workspace, deleting all the rest.
Duplicate the original:
workspace 1, keep only the pieces to be carved with 1/4" bit
workspace 2, keep only the pieces to be carved with 1/8" bit
and so on…
then just carve each workspace separately.

Thats what I’ve been doing… I just thought it would be easier if you could just have the 4 stages saved.

I did get vCarve Pro with the system… I’m still learning how to use it, and the only thing I don’t like is that when you import the toolpath into easel you can’t adjust anything, like the bits etc… need to import each toolpath as another stage and label them with the bit sizes… it seems to be a lot more work than just using easel.
