Hello, I’m about to buy an x carve but unsure if I’m gonna go for the 500 or 1000, at first I was sure to get the 1000x1000 but after I read some threads about aluminium milling people said it was a no no for aluminium, so is there any way to upgrade and modify the larger x carve to be as rigid as th3 smaller version? Becouse i would much rather have the larger one for other project’s.
You will need to do some kind of rigidity mod with the 1000, but I think the larger work area is well worth it.
I also strongly recommend picking up a 1/8" collet for the router as the run out form my cheep ($5) bit adaptor does cause some noticeable issue when cutting aluminum.
