Covid and lockdowns are good for at least a couple of things, sampling that scotch in the far away corner of the cupboard, and playing with another Dust Shoe idea. (please do the machining before the scotch).
So I love the idea of using a Touch Plate, ya know wires and all that, boggles the mind of my wife and accountant friends. I also find it incredibly tiresome having to remove my dust shoe every time I have to place the alligator clip on the collet nut or change a bit. So I came up with my own cheap and easy way to separate the dust shoe for easy access to the bit and router shaft. Rather than bore you with descriptions I’ve attached a couple of pics.
