Trying stl file for the first time with easel pro. Anyone know why the carving is not finishing?

You need to increase your Z depth. Right now the carve is to shallow so its only carving the base. Increase the Z depth by .1 until the tool path generator shows a little space between the top of your material and what you are carving. You can see that there is space between the green line and the carve. That’s how you know it will show all the detail:
Also the generator on the finishing pass should block out the entire carve. That’s another indicator that you are carving deep enough:
can you share a photo of all of the settings. Like Eric has shown… likely it’s the stackup of the Z position and size when compared to the material thickness setting that’s causing the issue, just as Eric indicated
