B&W photo - how to invert colors

Hi Ya’ll

I want to laser burn an image onto wood,

It has a large black background and the image is in white, ( out lines of cups)

how do I invert those colors so the laser doesn’t spend an age burning the black background and just burns the (previously) white image , \
