So ive added a ball nose end bit in Easel but l cant select it in the drop down, its not even listed. Is this just for 3D carving?
Yes, at the moment Ball-noses bits only show for 3D finishing passes. To use in 2D you need to enter it as a regular end mill.

Well thanks for the clarification, wondered why they were not showing up.
have’nt got around to trying the 3d carving yet.
