Bit Stuck to Dewalt

Dear all,

I used my X-Carve once but when I wanted to change the bit I didnt know how to do that. I have my bit stuck to my precision collet which is stuck to the DeWalt. Any idea what can I do now.

grab the bit (by the shank) as close as you can to the collet with a pair of vise grips and pull it out.

I had the exact same issue not too long ago. Apparently the precision collet MUST be snapped into the collet nut before use. Take a look at this PDF document for more details.ERColletSystemInstructions.pdf (150.3 KB)
