I have an FTC team that wants to mill some “relatively simple” gears out of aluminum stock. Their current wish list includes a rack and pinion, sprockets, and several other types of involute gears. They are curious about the different types of bits, when they are used, and how fine of a cut that they can make.
I’d really appreciate some suggestions that I can distribute to them as I’m just getting into CNC and the Carvey.
