That’s insane. I get steel rods shipped from the states by courier for less than that.
I wish I could help, but I have no idea where to get parts. I don’t think they are proprietary though, and you should be able to find them on Amazon.
I live in Vancouver and agree getting stuff shipped to here sucks. Not sure why, the cynic in me assumes anything that brings me joy from the US, Canada automatically does it’s best to make it too expensive to buy. But it’s likely that Canada is just shit.
