Can someone help with measurements

I am hoping someone can help me with some quick measurements. I need to know the gap size between the maker slide on the x axis and how tall the maker slide is. I’m trying to order bolts but left my paperwork at home and won’t be back until next week. Any help would be great!

Width of gap X axis makerslides

Could some one measure the gap between the makerslides on the X axis. I am thinking of sandwiching a piece of steel flat bar between then and make it tall enough to just clear the top of the carrage and drop down and just clear the bottom on the carraage. Thank you Dave

I used 3/16" thick steel for mine. I’d go for with 3/16-18 bolts, which you can always shim larger with metal tape if you need to. I think my steel was 2-1/2" tall, and there’s about 1/2" or so sticking out the bottom.
