Can X-Carve “carve” rubber? I was curious if I could try to carve a logo on a sneaker sole.
I don’t think it can. It would chew up the rubber or at least make it have lots of stringy mess along the top: you can try with a bit made for plastic and a low rpm but be prepared for disaster.
I’d say yes. Rubber selection and Bit choice will have a large effect on the outcome though, So I’m not sure if the shoe sole is dense enough…BUT Stamp rubber seems to work well enough.
