I’m only a couple of months in, on learning Easel with my XCP.
I want to carve deer head, or a bear, or some kinda outdoor scene into a door panel.
What’s the steps?
Here’s what I’m guessing…
First I need to find an STL file that is the scene I like.
Then I need to size it to my panel.
Then I load something like a 1/16" ballnose bit into the XCP, and kick it in.
Is that the gist of it?
Short answer is, “Yes.” Easel can import SVG, STL DXF and gcode format. So finding a usable image shouldn’t be that difficult.
You may also find a 2d piece of artwork that you like and convert that to a DXF and carve that to the depth you like. Bit diameter would be determined by the drawing. A small diameter will take longer to carve.
