I’m attempting a 3 stage carve. Using 1/8 and 1/16 for roughing. For the finishing I want to use a 30’ or a 20’ vbit. The 7 hours for the vbit is so long, I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I plan to fill with resin so I did upgrade the v-bit stepover to 10%.
the step over would be fine at 35 to 40%. a ballnose carving bit would do better for both processes but a v bit gcode would be the best and you wouldnt need seperate passes or bit changes.your speed should be less than half of what your running. depth of cut doesnt matter on vbit gcode it does what it wants . im going to play a bit with the file and see what i can get the quality and time balanced at. ok check this out takes an hour total
