My cousin in retiring from the Iowa DCI at the end of 2024 (30 years of service) and I would like to make him a wall badge for a retirement gift. I have been trying to do an image trace from a photo of his badge. I cannot get the lines crisp enough for some reason. May be that the picture of the badge isn’t quite clear enough? When finished, I would like the badge to be around 13" tall. Thanks in advance for your help!

He has a large number of models already prepared and will create custom versions. I have used his models for several carves. I cnc the badge and then laser the lettering.

Thank you for your response. I have contacted him and working on getting the file. I have a laser as well, but not sure I am technically savvy enough to combine the two. I will play around with it and see what I can do.
