Carving design into a round piece of wood

Anybodey can help wiyh this topic

Did you mean carving into the side of a log, or into a circle, such as clock face or plate? If the latter, I center my design around work zero (most of the design will be in “negative” space), then home my machine to the center of the material. If the former, someone else will have to guide you… some people have made a 4th axis for carving log shapes, but it’s not something I’ve needed to figure out.

  • Mark the round piece of wood center point
  • Place and secure the round piece of wood to your carve surface
  • Make your design, center it over Easel XY0 grid point
  • Jog your bit to the round piece of wood center point
  • Carve, set this as your Home Position
