I am super new to easel and cnc and am trying to learn Easel before i take the plunge and buy a cnc. I am trying to create a design for a cutout with a stepped edge profile as in the pic. Could not find any info on how to achieve this, any assistance would be appreciated.
Create one square and set the correct depth and then create another square and set depth to 0
Apologies, im not fully understanding. I have a larger piece of material, about 1mx0.5m - I would like to make a few cutouts as per the image above with a step all around the cutout. How would i achieve this with 2 squares?
You can add more squares.
I’m probably not understanding, could you do a sketch and upload the image?
With Easel think “building blocks”.
Your design goal have two boundaries and require two objects.
Two rectangles are needed, one with the larger dimension and running full depth and another with the internal dimension, set to whatever partial depth you want.
With these two objects aligned on top of eachother you get what you want.
OK - i get it now. thanks so much guys. i was trying to model like in sketchup but i see now that it wont work… Thanks for all the help.
