Cutting a shape wiht legdge

Hi

I’m new to easel, so far its great!

I’m struggling to get a cut out with a half thickness ledge, think like a picture frame, a hole whit a ledge for the glass to sit on,

I can see a way of doing it by carving out square then cutting a smaller one but it wastes a lot of time.

Any tips?

you could place a smaller rectangle within and set that to a 0 depth to save much of the carving time
