Damaged Screw Holes on X Axis Makerslide Rail

Hi all,

Looking for some help until I can get Inventables on the phone. I was installed my Y plates to the X axis rail and found that the holes on one side were damaged and will not hold the screws. It seems the holes widened as the screws were turned in.

Any suggestions for a temporary fix? I don’t want to insert larger screws as that would mean I might have to widen the holes on the Y plate. If Inventables were to send a replacement bar, I’d like for the Y axis holes to align more cleanly.

Thanks for the response! The screws are 12 mm in length, but the tapped hole is at least twice that, so I might give it a shot.
