I got the 16 slots in the edge of my work surface cut using my 2 hand routers and a jig I made. I shifted the material to one side and cut the slots on that side and one on each end. while I had the material shifted I put insert nuts into the 20X40 extrusion that runs the length of the machine. Also put in inserts to hold the rail to the long rail of the bed. The last thing to do was raise the material and cut a center slot on each end.
