Depth and pathing box keeps disappearing when I want to reset the depth of cut

The depth and Paths box keeps disappearing. Most annoying. Is there a hot-key to bring it back?

When no object is selected, the Cut/Shape tab is not showing, sure thats not it?
Select one object in your project and it will pop back up?
