I have these bits i want to use. Is there anyway to get the to fit into the x-carve? They are loose.

They maybe 6mm shaft rather than 1/4". You probably can buy a 6mm collet for your router. Take a look here -

That bit is a metal burr bit, used to remove sharp edges (grind) on sheet metal etc. Not suitable for CNC as the bit is not designed to carve.
