Any thoughts on adding the ability to put the door hinges on the top or bottom? Would that be an easy addition? I was thinking of building a long and short wall cabinet with the doors hinged at the top. Kind of like overhead storage on an airplane. Just a thought.

Thanks!

Hey Jonathan!

Sorry for the delay, I was out of the office last week. We have considered this, but we don’t have an ETA on when we’d have this functionality available. Typically, vertical-lift doors require unique hinges (such as Blum Aventos). Is there a specific type of hinge/hardware that you use or plan to use for vertical-lift doors?

Thank you for sharing this feedback, we really appreciate your help to improve Easel Cabinetmaker!

Hey Natalie, no worries at all!

I have looked at the Aventos hinges, these in particular.

There are some other Aventos hinges that are wayyyy swankier but cost a whole lot more.

I believe currently I can just uncheck “include door hinge holes” and drill the hinges after the fact.

I hope this feature is added as well. It would be helpful for sure.
