Easel remote carve

Given that the easellocal tool is just a node server using socket io to communicate with the browser, how about adding the ability to specify an IP address for the easellocal server in the advanced tool settings. Then we could install the server on a raspberry pi, or some small PC set up right next to the machine, and carve via the local LAN.

Any thoughts? Is this something you guys have tried?

Some guys worked on this approach to the Pi. Here’s a link to the Make Article.

One of the original versions of Easel Local actually was setup to run on a RasberryPi, using your main computer for designing. Unfortunately we just don’t have the time to prioritize this feature right now.
