Edit Points greyed out

Hi there, I am using the pen tool, drew a shape and wanting to edit the shape using edit points found the straight and curved points greyed out.

Please can someone check if I am doing something wrong?

Hi Everyone, I see now that if i touch a point then the greyed out controls become active.
Sorry for the ‘false’ concern.
