End milling dovetails and finger joints on 16" drawer sides

Am in the process of turning my 30 18 into a 30 40 today, thanks to a christmas gift.
Am thinking about moving the aluminum table to one side, in order that a long board could be clamped to the other edge of the table in order to be able to end cut box joints and dovetails as well as tenons. I could even cut a little off the side of the moving table to get more clearance.
Just like the big guys can clamp verticle boards to the end of the spoilboard if they make the spoilboard a few inches shorter.
Have already raised the gantry 20mm and could easily raise it another 20mm if required. kinda wondering if anyone has tried it and how they made out.
