Engraving on acrylic

trying to find the feeds and speeds to engrave on 5mm acrylic and which bit is best for a newbie.

I enjoy using the Amana ZrN coated single o-flute endmill for milling acrylic. If I need to use a V-Bit, I use a 60-deg Whiteside.

Typically, you want to use cast acrylic and feed high with a shallow depth of cut. Everyone’s machine is slightly different, so you will have to hone in on what feeds/speeds work best for you. In the past, I have used the following:

1/8" Endmill

0.096" Endmill

Thanks a million

Consider in mirror you project, engraving the back side of your piece.
