Do you have a video of the build yet??
Hi David, Iām still working on it , we just had a baby so Iām editing it when I have the time but itās almost done.
what did that run you, out of curiousity?
I put everything in a shopping cart that he listed from the Inventables website and it looks to be around $300. Since orders over $100 get free shipping thatās a plus!
edit: I just realized I threw a makerslide tapping kit in there as well for $35 since the 1800 makerslide doesnāt come pre-tapped. Take that away and youāre looking at around $275.

I would like to do the same thing. I plan on ordering the xcarve 1000mm for some diy speaker builds . But I really need 1500mm can you give me some guidance on how to extend the Y axis please .
Purchase the 1800mm makerslide, longer cables, longer drag chain. Of course you will also have to extend the base frame and waste board as well. So basically just replace the 1000mm with 1800mm everywhere but the X axis.
Thank you i will give it a try once the kit comes inā¦ maybe we can share speaker ideas at some point ā¦
Be prepared to wait 3 months for maslowā¦itās backordered like crazy.
The maslow is pretty clever and it is neat, but thatās really best marketed towards entry hobbyists and people who need relatively basic shapes and patterns like cabinet builders, etc. They donāt even have a Z axis control last time I checked, I think itās a special kit you have to order.
So I see the 1800mm makerslide on inventables site, but where do you get the taller end pieces and does anyone make a pre-drilled brace for the y makerslide so thereās no droop?
Try Charley Thomas.

Hi @DustinNull how is that you were able to make yours that long, I am wanting to expand mine, but quite unsure how to, can you ilumninate me with your knowledge?
Hi everyone Iām looking for days to buy makerslides 1800mm 2040 but canāt find anything inventables stopped selling them. Does someone know where I could buy them ?
just spitballing here but I think might be possible to break the carve into multiple projects to increase the y axis. You just carve a fiducial mark up at the top of your first āpanel.ā After you carve the first panel slide the work piece down, you will need to make a fence you keep you from twisting it, then manually set the home using your fiducial mark to pick up the carve where you left off. This depends on the straightness of the media, how well you make the fence and how well you can seperate the carve into 2 (or more) projects. I donāt think it would work on very complicated carves requiring high precision.
So Iām wanting to increase my Y axis to the 1800mm but canāt for the life of me find where I can buy the 1800mm makerslide. Does anyone have a source? It seems as if Inventables has bailed on offering this as a part.
