Experience using a larger router?

I want to increase my productivity and am looking at using a larger router, approximately a 2 or 2-1/2 horsepower. Does anyone have experience with this on a 1000 x 1000? Would you give me the benefit of your advice and the challenges you faced in making it work? Thank you in advance.
