I am getting ready to, for the 1st time, do some “micromachining” in wood (poplar, for now) - using a 1/32” ballnose tool.
I’d love any input from those that have experience using either a 1/32 or 1/16 tool as to feeds/speeds
-Depth of cut/stepdown?
-Width of cut/stepover?
-RPM?
-Feedrate?
Depth of cut is determined for each object in the design via the drop down box that appears when then object is added or edited. Select the “CUT” tab and use the slider or type in the depth in the box below the slider.
Width of cut is determined by the diameter of the bit which is chosen in the bit drop down menu.
RPM and feed rate are chosen in the “Cut Settings” drop down menu.
