I am carving a piece of 1.25 oak and am using a 1/8 inch endmill to rough and a 1/8 inch ball nose to finish. Any suggestions on what a ballpark feedrate / stepover I could use for both? I have the depth per pass set to .125 in. Thanks for any help!
At a cut depth of .125 you will break the .125 bit.
Cut depth ~.06 stepover ~.04 and the slowest spindle speed (That’s assuming you have a DW611)
Finish at ~.02 deep and ~.02 stepover.
Thank yo so much!
