Fusion 360 - G-Code - Settings for Carvey build area

Build Area Settings in Fusion 360

I have managed to figure out how to create a tool path (youtube) set the proper Z-Axis.

But i am trying to figure out how to set the dimensions for the build area in Fusion 360, so that it accurately reflects the carvey build area. I thought that was the stock setting but it is not.

Please let me know if you have an answer.

@BrockMakerspace I’m not sure what you’re asking, but I think what you’re trying to do is set a Work Origin that is away from your model? If so, you can set a work origin to be at any sketch point in your model.

The easiest way would be to create a rectangle 8" x 12" to represent the Carvey waste board.

When you set up your tootpath, exclude or turn off visibility for that object.
