Gantry moves when barely touched

Trying to make a second cut and changing bits the gantry moves with little effort and ruins the cut have had this happen several times. Wasting time and wood does this happen because of the update to the program in which the gantry move away from the cutting surface?

I also recommend switching off the 4th dip switch for each motor on the x controller as I did here.

XController disassembly

OK. I just took a deep breath and decided to find out myself. The short answer is Yes you can do it without taking the whole thing apart. You have to unscrew the front panel screws. The front panel has the 3 white switches. Next you’ll find the Emergency switch has two red wires on it. The wires are soldered to terminals that can pull out when you loosen up the two screws first. Also open up the Xcontroller and on each of the three red “switch boxed” inside set switch #4 to OFF.
