When carving it starts off at the correct depth but as it goes though the piece it eventually is carving almost through the entire thickness of material. Anyone else have this same issue
Do you have a waste board attached to the table? If so, did you level it? Also check to make sure the bit is tight in the collet.
Yes washboard is level and bit is tight in the collet. This is a new problem that has started to occur over my past couple carvings
Did you go around and check that all the fasteners are tight. My 3018 doesn’t seem to have lock washers on the hardware.
Everything is tight
You’re either losing steps or your Z is slipping. Is the shaft coupler tight?
If you jog up and down 50 times, do you lose Z height?
Make sure to set your z-probe height in machine settings. Did you do that?
Also, did you set the cut depth in Easel for each object?
