I have been a proud xcarve v1 user for years and have been fairly active in this forum for a while… I wanted to do some much larger jobs and upgraded to a much larger machine, but hope I can still share here :). This one was a journey… a lot of info in the video about the inlay, sometimes specific to end grain… but I think it really applies to xcarves as much as any… here are a few pics and a link to the video if you are interested… thanks!
WOW, that is simply amazing!!!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Simply fantastic!
I love it. Wood can be a pain sometimes to work with and you beat it. The inlay looks fantastic and i love the butcher block.
Thanks man. Lots of ups and downs in the video :). But it turned out alright…
Looks better then alright. Sometimes i am glad to see i am not the only one that has trouble with wood movement. It can be a real pain.
Took me a week to figure out… then a week letting it move back :). Was very weird trying to “time” the carve…
Great work, I really like the end grain look you achieved.
Extremely impressive.
That looks great, nicely done
