When powering up my Gshield controller it will only function if the cord is held in a specific sweet spot. I assume this is way too risky to go ahead with a project. What parts should I be inspecting to troubleshoot this issue ?
The plug hole itself is slightly loose and moveable so I believe the cord isn’t causing the fault.
Are you talking about the USB cable or the power cable going to the power supply? The USB Type B connector is normally fairly sturdy when it comes to movements relative to the cable, but it could become an issue if either side is worn. I would suspect that there might be a cable that is broken in the USB cable and making intermittent contact, if the issue is with the USB cable that is.
