How did you do the dark and light areas?

I made some foam crypt covers with the names of (in)famous vampires and some parts for my foam hatchet.

This was my first V carve with PRO. I learned two things -

  1. Pro works well V carving.
  2. My painting skills SUCK!

Did you carve it and then paint?

Yes. After carving I sealed the MDF, then painted with acrylic paints

What did you seal it with?

Shellac. It seals well and dries quickly

Once I finish all the paint I will seal it again with a UV protective spray laquer

I have a horrible habit of taking pictures of projects in the half way complete stage,

These are a few signs and 1 tombstone I made this year. One was a kids door sign, every season the parents want to swap out a unique door sign on special occasions for their kid

The sleepy hollow one was made before I figured out to reduce the present stepovers in the settings.
