Managed to get a touch plate working in grblgru. Not complicated just some strange anomalies.
Is it possible you can give me a clue as to where you enter the touch plate thickness so that this offset is taken into account please.

Unfortunately, there is no input for it at the moment.
But you can easily build a function with the macros.
Maybe you have a look at the video about macro programming.
It explains how you can create a macro.
Here is an example
[Touch]
g1 g91 F100
g38.2 F50 z-10
g10 l20 p1 x0 y0 z???
??? must be the thickness of your plate
