"Home Decor" - Wall Art

Hello guys,

Here is a short video summarizing how we brought to life a custom “Home Decor” wall art that we wanted. It’s a simple project made out of MDF using the good old 2015 X-Carve (still going strong).

What options did you use to cut this out? I see everyone says outline, but I do not see that on the options on easel

Cut outs are usually done using outside the line cut path shown here

Hi Lee. Right, to cut each of the 3 letters I used “Cut outside shape path” as shown by Seth. This project was cut using an 1/8" end mill at 40 in/min feed rate, 12 in/min plunge rate and 0.06" depth per pass. These are conservative settings that work well for me when cutting MDF with the Dewalt 611 on setting 1 (≈16,000 rpm).
