I can't seem to import images

I am trying to import these files into easel (using trace image or svg import appropriately) but it doesn’t seem to work. Any ideas?

SVG import brought in a black square as it still had the embedded image in the SVG. Following the popup steps to remove the embedded image will alleviate this black box… Or check out this simple trick to remove the embedded image issue:

However simply clicking import anyway, and then deleting the extra box, I’m left with this. You can click the blue box at the top right to save a copy into your own projects:
