I feel "speed bumps" when moving the arm forward and backward

I am still in the assembly process. I noticed when I moved the arm forwards and backwards manually, I feel evenly spaced bumps between every few inches. I cannot figure out what’s causing that. I assume this is not normal? The attached video should explain it a little better

Check to see if the wheels all roll with the same amount of resistance. Check your belt tension and make sure that the gears are all tight and not slipping. Hopefully the power isn’t on as you are moving the axis. Check for squareness too.

I haven’t gotten to adding power yet, just starting to put the belts on also.

The arm is very tight to push and pull also, should it be this snug? Just getting the wheels from both sides to slide onto the rail was tough too, I’m not really sure how to loosen the grip for either issue

I thought of another thing to check. The aluminum extrusion can get dinged up. I have a couple pieces that came that way. I figured I’d fill it with something and level it out if I needed to.

Actually I figured it out. I didn’t use those bolts that have the offset holes in them for the wheels that go on the rails, I just used the regular bolts. So the arm was on the rails super tight and could barely move. So I think it being so tight may have been causing the bumping too.

I think I just need to attach the vacuum parts and it should be ready to power up!
