Important: Support ending for Easel Driver version 0.3.3 and older on August 19, 2019

In order to provide our customers with a secure and safe environment, Inventables has decided to end support to Easel Driver versions prior to 0.3.3. As of August 19, 2019, Easel will no longer be able to connect to any machine running an Easel Driver version older than 0.3.3.

This means connecting to machines, carving, or uploading firmware with Easel will no longer be possible with drivers older than 0.3.3. Non-carve-related portions of Easel, such as designing, sharing projects, or browsing public projects will still work.

If you are using an Easel Driver older than 0.3.3, you will be impacted by these changes. In order to keep using Easel with your machine, please upgrade to a newer version of Easel Driver. You can update your Easel Driver by visiting Easel - Downloads.

This primarily affects customers using Windows XP and Vista. You will not be able to install the latest Easel Driver version if you are running Windows XP or Windows Vista. These operating systems are no longer supported by Microsoft. We highly recommend installing Windows 10 or Linux, both of which work with the latest Easel Driver.

If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Success team at help@inventables.com.

Note: To check your Easel Driver version, click “Machine” in main Easel navigation bar, select “Advanced,” and click “Machine Inspector.” Your current Easel Driver will be displayed in the top left. As of writing this post the latest version of Easel Driver released is 0.3.14.
