Imported Gcode from Vcarve in wrong location

Howdy all. I created a file in vcarve, centered on my work piece. When I import the gcode to easel, the file is no longer centered. It looks to be moved about 1/4 inch to the left. I started the carve and then noticed it and then looked at it in easel and noticed it was not centered any more. Any ideas? I’ve created many files on easel and they are all positioned correctly. For some reason when they come from Vcarve they are off.

we’d need to see your vcarve settings. check “x,y datum position” and “offset” within the job settings.

BUT ALSO which post processor are you using when saving the gcode file? is it the “Easel” one??

i have the same problem, what do i need to do or check to resolve this problem

here is my project, i just want a simple square pocket in a board thats 15.25x15.25
pocket is 11.25x11.25 1/4 deep, i dont know why its showing centered in vcarve but not in easel,

thanks for any help
New.crv (40 KB)
Pocket 2.nc (3.4 KB)

Where does it appear in easel?
But also if youre using vcarve to generate toolpaths and gcode then why use easel as the sender? There’s a handful of better options to send the gcode to the cnc…

So i can use open builds software to control my xcarve?

Easel isnt even showing the right size for my board 15.25x15.25 and it shows the pocket in the upper right hand corner. Not sure why its doing this. Its always worked before.

I did upload the files for easel and vcarve so anyone that wanted to help could take a look at them to see if they could spot something.

Thanks for your help so far.

Yes

Your gcode sender software (whether easel or OpenBuilds control or others) will NOT show your board size. It will only show the toolpaths. So if your toolpath does not include a perimiter cut than it’ll not show the board perimiter, if it does than it will appear to show the board size, but that is only because the perimiter cut is part of the toolpath.

Easel doesn’t know how big your stock is. That blue area just shows the extent of your gcode… It’s not your stock.
