The “Big Box” hobby stores also have a lot of unfinished items that make a great start to projects.
Dollar stores as well usually have unfinished bamboo cutting boards that you can add your unique flair with… I then finish with beeswax and makes for a perfect gift…
I wonder if those are consistent SKU’s for them or if they change all the time. If they were consistent would it be valuable for us to make Easel templates for each shape?
these items were not available in my local stores or any in surrounding region. call before you go.
another nail in the coffin… Im going to try for a special order though.

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Deb. These wood plaques are only carried in select Home Depot Stores and not online. You can check availability in your area by entering your zip code under Store Finder at the top of the screen. If they are not carried in your area, they may be able to special order them for you. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.
Craft stores such as Michaels and AC Moore also carry some of these items.
The dollar stores do not sell bamboo cutting boards. They are selling the thin flat plastic sheet ones. I have been hitting the goodwill / Thrift stores and found some cheap cutting boards there.
I have not cut them yet. I am still trying to get the system to work properly.
o.O
Have you gone back to check recently? I have been trying to find them aswell for weeks. Until last week I finally found them! It’s a different board they are slling now it is 4$ instead of the 3$ and has a metal handle on them.
I have tried over and over again. no dice
Michael’s Arts & Crafts has a lot of stuff like this. I’ve done a bunch of little DIY projects using the wood pieces they have.
4 of 5 walmarts in my area also carry these in the crafts section
all bamboo is hollow bro…
It makes me chuckle when you feel the need to correct my sarcastic joke… Thanks for the lesson on bamboo material fabrication though… I feel educated.
No, I missed the winky face, I was distracted by the misspelling of hollow.
There are already common notations for sarcasm, as well as other common idioms.
<morganfreemark>And so, after reading the forum post, Phil Johnson knew he’d been bested by that guy in Colorado, so he hung his head in shame</morganfreemark>
Have a good one man. Always enjoy the banter with you.
I get bamboo cutting boards at Ikea for about $8 each. 11x18 in size. They work great for engraving signs.
I have only found them at the thrift store.
I have 2 just need to figure out what to do with them.
