Its a matter of time... and bits

So I am working on a rather simple project cutting out a logo on a flag… It will need to be v-carved. The question is, Given that it is going to take the same amount of time using a 1/8" bit to clear stuff out and then using the v-bit OR just using the V-bit alone to do everything… which would you do?

Just use the vbit. I’ve had this happen several times when logic would say it should take less time but results in more time

Can you use 1/4" bit for clearing?

I Probably could Mark but the next size up I have right now is 3/8" and that is too big

Phillip… kinda what I was thinking too.

I don’t understand when using a clearing bit followed by a vbit it takes longer than just using the vbit for the whole project
