So there I was trying to calibrate the steppers… and I noticed that when jogging around 700mm the Y axis shifts or should I say it seems to shift 1.86mm to the right…I put a ruler down taped to a piece of mdf up against a fence and sure enough it isn’t a straight line… I’m wondering is my Y rails not parallel or something?
Take a tape measure and measure across opposite corners. Square means those diagonal measurements should be the same. There’s enough play in the holes and fasteners to adjust it.
