I’m a beginner and looking to see how to get started to create beveled Kumiko strips that interlock. I appreciate any guidance on how to get started. See pic below.
I had to look up Kumiko. It appears that they are mostly lap joints. I’d take a board and run grooves and dados with a straight bit, then cut them out into individual pieces. You’ll lose a bit of wood cutting it into strips with a bit.

Bevels can be made with a bevel router bit.
