I have had the JTech 2.8 watt laser on my X-Carve for awhile now and have used it multiple times for raster images cut into wood. But, a few weeks ago I started experimenting with using the X-Carve mounted laser to cut veneer to create marquetry designs. The attached images are the first actual project completed using the JTech and X-Carve. I spent a lot of time figuring out the process and all the settings. I am still not satisfied with the curf I am getting, but most people will not notice. I am very excited about the potential and if others are interested I can post more about my process.
